For over 100 years, the Beacon Light Mission has provided soup, soap, and salvation to the needy in the San Pedro & Wilmington area. It is a faith-based ministry that had its beginings in 1902 and got its name and grew up on Beacon Street in San Pedro, when it was considered the roughest street in the nation due to all the crime and violence found there.

Currently, women can come to the Beacon Light Mission for chapel services and a hot meal, but have to return to the street as the mission lacks facilities to provide temporary shelter to these homeless women. After much prayer and the generosity of many concerned people, the vision of a women’s shelter is close to becoming a reality! Help us open the door... |
